Info Card & Artwork

This month’s subscription was themed after a character Linda created herself. Linda’s art is absolutely beautiful and I love that she also included a bonus print of the Melusine drawing she did for the Aromaleigh Ephmera sub.

This month’s theme is a little different. It’s not based on anything anyone would know unless you’ve known me for awhile. This month is inspired by a character I created when I was in high school. Her name is Ethereal and she’s supposed to be the goddess of the universe. She’s born without a nose, a mouth, and is blind.

I was inspired to do a theme on her because I was going through my old artwork and I found my most popular drawing EVER! <– The drawing is the label art for the color “Breaking Down”. “Breaking Down” is a song by TrustCompany and I was inspired by it when I drew it. That was also during a very emotional time.

I thought that the colors for her would also be perfect for June since it seems it would be perfect for the season.

Linda’s artwork is always phenomenal and I love that she was able to base the sub around her own work for once! I also like that she used different drawings of this character for most of the label art so we get a bigger peek than usual into her work. Love it!

Voiceless – Baby pink with light purple, gold, and silver sparkle. The colorful sparkle is most apparent close up; from a distance it makes a sparkly pink look. This is the sheerest of the shadows this month but it builds up nicely.

Breaking Down – Bright purple with green and gold shimmer. This is the most “me” color in this sub and I totally adore it. It went on a little patchy but to be fair I wasn’t as careful with my primer on this swatch as I was with the others so I can’t blame it entirely on the shadow. I want to bathe in this color.

Ethereal’s Tears – Blue with a slight green sheen and multi-colored sparkles. The blue base is somehow both bright blue and kind of a dusty blue… I don’t know how that’s possible but that’s how it pulls on me. There’s great nuance to this shade.

Divine – Teal-ish green with mult-colored sparkles and a hint of blue sheen. I wasn’t expecting to like this color but I love it! Super pigmented and gorgeous!

Immortal Glow – This is another Angelic Powder and it’s a creamy shade leaning almost a tiny bit oyster pink? It’s not as pink as Moonlight Stalker from the April sub which is great – this is a much more wearable shade for my skin tone! The swatch for this is over bare skin.

Dark Heart Designs Bronzer – This guest indie bronzer is from Dark Heart Designs. It’s an incredibly warm and shimmery brown and definitely not something I can pull off. It’ll make me a sparkly oompa loompa. I think it’d be really pretty on skin tones that aren’t as ghostly as I am though. This is the second Dark Heart Designs sample I’ve gotten (I received a blush from them in the May Vanishing Cabinet) and the packaging still puts me off; the lid label is apparently printed on but it looks like it was sharpied on and then rubbed off – it’s not even really recognizable as a heart and looks a little unfinished, hastily packaged, etc.

Mermaid Tears (Uponaworld Cosmetics) – This guest indie shade was made exclusively for this month’s subscription by Uponaworld Cosmetics. It’s emerald green with gold sparkles. It’s incredibly pigmented and everything I’d want a green shadow to be. So beautiful!

The shades in this sub are so beautiful and I can definitely see them as a cohesive collection. This is my favorite I+TA sub to date!
