Boxycharm February 2015

February’s Boxycharm was feeling the Valentine’s Day vibe! It reached me right in time for V Day, too. Let’s take a look at what this month brought.

Modern Minerals Duo Fiber Mini Round Brush – I always need more makeup brushes so I was happy to get this one. It’s nice and soft. This brush retails for $15. What Boxycharm says:

The perfect little brush for shading, creating smokey eyes, highlighting and so much more. The duo fibers on this mini rounded brush are so soft and great for just the right amount of dusting or layering colors.

Mullein & Sparrow Mini Facial Mask – I’m intrigued by this mask. I’ve been really into facial masks lately so I’m excited to give this one a try. I’ve never used a powder mask that you mix yourself. This is a deluxe size (1 oz) which retails for $15.  The full size is $35 for 2.5 oz. Boxycharm says:

This facial mask contains a blend of powerful, detoxifying clays mixed with soothing, aromatic herbs that help to refine pores and provide a gentle exfoliation.

NCLA Nail Lacquer in Heart Attack – This polish is adorable and perfect for Valentine’s Day! The base is clear so it’s just the glitter hearts which are perfect for accents. It’s full sized and retails for $14. Boxycharm says:

Seal it with a kiss in this deluxe glitter finish, chock-full of pink and red hearts.

Jing Ai Velvet Shine Lip Jewel – This is a petal pink chubby lip pencil. It’s more pigmented than the lip balm pencils I’m used to but not quite as pigmented as the average lipstick. I haven’t had a chance to wear it yet and can’t speak to the formula but I don’t have anything in this shade of pink so it’s a welcome addition to my collection. This is full sized and retails for $22. What Boxycharm has to say:

Velvet Shine Lip Jewels give your lips a powerful dose of highly pigmented long lasting color. The formula is infused with 100% natural macadamia seed oil, shea butter and jojoba seed oil for a glamorous and hydraded pout.

Mistura Beauty Solutions C-2-P Complexion Corrector – This is concealer by another name. The packaging is pretty cheesy but the formula seems creamy. It’s a little warm toned for me; I’d look kind of orange if I used it in most areas though it might work well for dark undereye circles. It isn’t quite as opaque as I’d like but I think I’ll still get some use out of it. I haven’t had a chance to try it yet but I’m hoping it won’t crease under my eye… we’ll see. This is full sized and retails for $36.99 CAD which converts to $29.30 USD right now. Boxycharm says:

This new cream-to-powder complexion corrector is rich with coconut oil and shea butter with a silky-matte finish that leaves your skin hydrated and blemish-free. The super-light formula instantly masks redness and broken capillaries and hides imperfections with one touch for all skin tones.

The value for this box is about $95.30. Boxycharm is by far my highest value subscription and I’m relly happy with this box!
