Glamglow Thirstymud (Sephora Favorites Beauty Unmasked)

This mask made my face feel warm and a little bit irritated. So far I’ve only used it after the Glamglow Supermud and the next morning my face felt super dry but that could have just been the Supermud. I still need to try this by itself to make a final repurchase decision.

Borghese Gentle Makeup Remover (Sample Society Mystery Box)

This makeup remover is pretty good. It’s not quite as effective at dissolving my eye makeup¬†as the cold cream I usually use, but it’s not at all greasy and doesn’t clog my pores the way the cold cream does. I’d definitely consider purchasing the full size when I run out of my sample stockpile. I’ve been using it mostly for eye makeup and 1/3 of this sample tube has lasted me about a week.

Philosophy Hope in a Jar Night Cream (Sample Society Mystery Box)

I’d been wanting to try the Hope in a Jar products for awhile so I was thrilled to get this in my mystery box. I really like it so far. It exfoliates nicely. It isn’t as hydrating as I’d been hoping for so I have been using light weight moisturizer with it as well.

Ouidad Moisture Lock Leave-In Conditioner (Ulta Online Sample?)

I can’t remember where this sample came from. I think it came in my last Ulta online purchase in my mystery sample pack but I’m not 100% sure. The scent reminds me a lot of a Paul Mitchell leave-in conditioner my stepmother used on me as a kid.¬†This moisturizes nicely in the short term (for half a day or so) but the moisture didn’t persist into the next day. It’s nice and lightweight for someone who only needs a bit of moisture but on my really dry ends it’s not quite enough for me.

Astara Antioxidant Infusion (Total Beauty Collection)

The sample jar was partly dried up so there wasn’t as much in it as there should have been. It does feel very nice on the skin and hydrates well. It has a scent but it’s not too strong. I’m not sure if I’d rebuy this.

Dr. Brandt Pores No More Pore Refiner Primer (Ipsy)

I’ve heard great things about this primer but it just didn’t perform well for me. My smaller pores seemed reduced but this didn’t improve my larger pores and my makeup pooled badly in them after using this. Lots of people seem to love it but it just wasn’t for me. It does tingle a little when you first put it on so if you don’t like that sensation you might avoid this one.

Sonya Dakar Flash Facial Exfoliating Treatment (Sample Society Mystery Box)

This is a definite no purchase for me. I got 2 of these in my Sample Society Mystery Boxes and won’t even finish the one I opened. The fragrance is terrible. It’s like those concentrated zinc tablets I used to have to chew as a kid when I was sick. I also don’t feel like it really exfoliates. It seems like the it’s supposed to exfoliate as you rub it off but all I’m doing is rubbing it off. It irritates my skin a bit, too.

Urban Decay Naked Flushed (Urban Decay Online Sample)

I’d been eyeing the Naked Flushed palettes for weeks. I’ve swatched them a couple of times in Ulta and Sephora and was trying to decide which to buy. UD was running a 20% off online sale so I picked up a pretty serious haul and this sample was included. I was happy to be able to try it out on my face before purchasing. I really like the quality and consistency of this product and purchased 2 of the palettes a few days ago.
