October Sephora Haul

Time for another Sephora haul. I need a second job just to support my beauty habit! I made a purchase online and had to return something and used the store visit to browse all the new holiday collections.

Sephora Favorites Beauty Unmasked – I’m really on a skincare kick trying to get the skin under my makeup healthier. I’m hoping these masks will help jump start the healthy. I’m especially excited to try the Boscia Luminizing Black Mask and the Glamglow Thirstymud Hydrating Treatment.

Tocca Beauty Florence (Sample) – I like Tocca fragrances. I’ve got Giulietta and am in love with it. Simone also tickles my nose nicely. My local Sephora doesn’t have a tester of Florence so I was excited for this sample.

Elizabeth and James Nirvana White (Sample) – Based on the scent descriptions online I thought I’d like Nirvana Black more than Nirvana White but when I tested them both in store Nirvana Black really didn’t jive with me and White seemed ok on the tester card. I’m happy to have a sample to try out on myself.

Stila Color Balm Lipstick (Sample) – I’ve never used Stila’s lipsticks before so I’m excited to give this sample set a shot. They’re great shades for Fall!

Nest Midnight Fleur (Reward) – This was a 250 point reward for me. I’m never too thrilled with the 100 point rewards and the current 500 pointers don’t strike my fancy much either so the 250 point fragrance minis caught my eye. I’ve tried Midnight Fleur in store and liked it. It’s a really unique fragrance and as much as I like it it’s not an every day type fragrance for me so the smaller bottle is perfect. Really happy with this reward!

I also picked up a Clinique Acne starter set with the online order, but decided to return it even before the order arrived. I don’t have a serious acne problem, but have battled some chin acne with the extra heat this summer. It had already started to clear up by the time the package arrived so I wandered in to my local store to return it and quest for some new faves.

I can’t walk into a Sephora without making rainbow arms!

Glamglow Supermud Clearing Treatment – This mask is highly rated and talked about online. I tested it on my hand in store and really liked the way it made my skin feel so I picked it up in exchange for the Clinique set.

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics In Your Face Kit in Vivacious Violets – Have I mentioned how obsessed I am with OCC products? I’ve really wanted a more purple shade and while my store didn’t have quite what I was looking for, this shade was close enough. Until now I’d only ever used their Lip Tars so I was excited that this kit had the additional pencil and highlighter in it.

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar & Nail Lacquer Set in Black Dahlia – Black Dahlia is all over Instagram and I couldn’t pass it up when my Sephora had it on sale. I’m also looking forward to trying the matching nail polish.

Sephora Collection Colorful Eyeshadow Glitter in Engagement Ring – This eyeshadow color was on sale for $5 and I couldn’t help but pick it up. It’s an absolutely beautiful silver that will look so amazing for the holidays.

Sephora Collection Contour Eye Pencil in Purple Stilettos and Romantic Comedy – I was really drawn to pink and purple eyeliners this trip. I love the UD eyeliners but got these Sephora brand ones instead to keep the cost down. They’re highly pigmented and go on beautifully. Can’t wait to try them out for real!

Sephora Collection Nano Lip Liner in Lovely Lilac – I’ve also been looking for a good purpleish lip liner to go under my more purple OCC Lip Tars. I’ve found lots of deep wine colors but nothing in a bright purple so when I found this one I was all over it.

Kat Von D Shade Shifter Eyeshadow in Love Letter and On The Road – I was eyeing these shade shifter shadows online and had to test them when I was in the store. They’re gorgeous! I picked up this Love Letter shade first because purples and my green eyes go together like Peanut Butter and Jelly. I took a pass on On the Road because while the reddish brown base is a great color for me the green duochrome doesn’t do much for my green eyes. I finally had to go back and get it though after steaming on it awhile and I’m so glad I did. These shadows are supposed to be used wet for better duochrome effect.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Auburn (Sample) – I’m always on the search for a better brow product and I’ve heard nothing but good things about Anastasia products. Every time I’m in a Sephora or Ulta I swatch her Auburn products and every time they swatch brown on me. This visit the store associate gave me a sample of the Auburn Dipbrow to take home and actually use on myself. I really loved the application and the overall effect however it’s still way too brown (see above photo). I’d buy it in a heartbeat if it was more red but for now I’ll have to stick to powdering my brows in with eyeshadow.

Kat Von D Lock-It Tattoo Foundation in Light 44 (Sample) – This foundation is supposed to be full coverage and stay on through armageddon so I really wanted to give it a try. The associate and I were a little worried that this shade might be too orangey on my ghostly visage so she gave me a sample to try at home.

Nude Skincare Miracle Mask (Sample) – The associate recommended this mask to help me get over the last of my breakout and help prevent future breakouts. The little sample is about 2 uses for me. I really like it! It helped bring some of the baby blemishes from under the surface to the top so I could take care of them and really helped with the clogged pores on my nose. We’ll see how I do with the masks I purchased but I’d definitely consider getting this one in the future.
