Coastal Scents Go Palette London

Finally got around to swatching the colors from the Coastal Scents palette in my September Boxycharm. The Go Palette contains 9 eyeshadows inspired by a major city in the world. This is the London version of the palette. It’s exactly the one I had wanted to receive and I love the shades in it. Some of the shadows are a little powdery and the darkest purple and metallic gray don’t apply very smoothly. As a cheap palette for experimenting or traveling it’s pretty good. They’re definitely not high quality shadows but they’re decent and fun.

The aqua shades are the best in the bunch. They’re fairly well pigmented and blend well. The middle color didn’t photograph quite as beautifully as it really is! It’s got a gorgeous lime green shimmer in it and is my favorite color out of the whole palette!

The lighter 2 purple colors are fairly pigmented and almost smooth. The darker color is glittery and fall out central! It doesn’t blend well and is definitely one of the lower quality shadows in the palette.

The cranberry color was the shade I was most interested in, but unfortunately it takes quite a bit of work to build it up (and the other 2 shades in this row). All of these are on the low pigment/patchy side and need a fair amount of blending to get smooth coverage.

The two blackish shades are definitely the worst in the palette. The middle shade here is glittery and fall out central. The matte black is powdery and takes quite a bit to build and blend smoothly.

I would not rebuy this palette for myself but as a gift for my niece it would be excellent!
