Urban Decay Naked 2 Swatches

I’ve finally jumped on the Naked bandwagon with the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette! Naked 2 contains 12 full sized (0.05 oz) eyeshadows in taupe and “greige” neutral shades.

Shades from left to right are: Foxy, Half Baked, Booty Call, Chopper, Tease, Snakebite, Suspect, Pistol, Verve, Busted, and Blackout. Each swatch is shown under 2 different lighting conditions. Click on the image to see it full size.

Foxy is a creamy light matte. It’s not much different than my skin color so it doesn’t show up well when swatched here, but it is a gorgeous shade, very smooth, and fairly pigmented for such a light color. It’s one of the more powdery shades in the palette but it still applies very well.

Half Baked is a golden bronze shimmer color that’s pretty metallic. It’s very pigmented and very smooth!

Bootycall is a pale pearly shimmer. Again it’s too pale to swatch well on my paleness but it’ll make a very lovely highlight shade.

Chopper is a copper shimmer with silver glitter. This is one of the shades that sold me Naked 2 instead of the original Naked palette!

Tease is a light brown matte. It’s smoother than Foxy but still a bit powdery.

Snakebite is a dark bronze shimmer. It’s really like a metallic brown. This shade is highly pigmented and very smooth.

Suspect is a golden beige shimmer. It’s not as pigmented as Half Baked but is still quite lovely.

Pistol is a light gray shimmer with a touch of brown. It’s like a light metallic greige. Quite pretty.

Verve is a shimmery oyster color. It’s another one of my favorites in this palette. For a light color it actually shows up pretty well swatched here. Really gorgeous as a blending color or even by itself.

YDK is a cooler bronze shimmer, almost pinky. Like Chopper, this is one of the shades that sold me this palette. It’s beautiful!

Busted is a very dark brown shimmer. It’s got a slight hint of burgundy maybe? Of the shimmers this is the most powdery but it’s still far smoother and more pigmented than the matte shades. Definitely a favorite.

Blackout is a black matte. Like the other mattes it’s kind of powdery and not as pigmented as I’d like. I’ve yet to find a really dense and highly pigmented black matte anywhere; I’ve found slightly shimmery blacks that are that dense but not a matte.
